SPRING AWAKENING: 'a punk-rock style generational wakeup call'.
Barn Youth Theatre kicks off with SPRING AWAKENING.
Spring Awakening is a rock musical with music by Duncan Sheik and book and lyrics by Steven Sater. Set in late 19th-century Germany, the show is an electric, vibrant celebration of youth and rebellion, fusing issues of morality, sexuality, and rock and roll into a story that packs a powerful emotional punch.
The original Broadway production opened on December 10, 2006. Its cast included Jonathan Groff, Lea Michele and Skylar Astin and went on to win eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Direction, Book, Score and Featured Actor.
Spring Awakening shows run from the 16th-19th August, at 7:30PM. Tickets are from £10.
