Joseph O’Malley is an actor, writer, director and graduate of the Guildford School of Acting. Over the last decade he has had the pleasure of working as an actor all over the UK in a wide variety of different projects from major kids theatre tours to intimate classics. Through working with and for such theatrical giants as the National Theatre and the RSC he gained invaluable knowledge and experience that would prove vital at the close of 2017 when Joseph decided to refocus all his energies on a new career path, directing. The 18 months that has followed has been a whirlwind, with Joseph taking on numerous directing projects both in London and outside including two productions with the brilliant Barn Theatre where he started out assisting Iwan Lewis on the acclaimed “One Minute”. He then was delighted to have the opportunity to return in November with the fantastically silly “Hound of the Baskervilles”. This will be Joseph’s third project at the Barn Theatre and he is starting to feel like one of the fixtures and fittings! He can’t wait to give the people of Cirencester a really good giggle this summer.
