Our front-of-house volunteers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of The Barn’s theatre and cinema performances, and of course help us to keep down our operational costs.
Front-of-house volunteers will need to:
- Meet, greet and assist our audience members to their correct seats
- Sell programmes
- Be friendly and enjoy working with people and being the ‘face’ of the theatre
- Help ensure the safety, comfort and enjoyment of the audience
- Work under the supervision of the box office manager on duty

In return you will:
- Get to watch our full programme of plays and films
- Have a behind-the-scenes tour of the Barn Theatre
- Be invited to special Barn events and celebrations
We welcome volunteers of all ages, and you need no experience as full training will be given. The time commitment and frequency are completely flexible, making volunteering with us very easy to fit into your life!
We are so grateful to everyone who gives up their time to help us. Our volunteers are an integral part of The Barn team and provide an invaluable service to our audience.
