Deborah has a problem. She’s responsible for casting the world’s most famous spy and it’s no laughing matter especially when the actor she chooses suddenly withdraws the day before shooting. What does she do? A Role to Die For is a rip-roaring, wickedly funny comedy and the perfect tonic for the January blues.

28 MARCH – 10 MAY

Based on a true story about Sir Michael Morpurgo’s uncles during World War II, Francis is a fierce pacifist, and Pieter is a man who believes that peace can only be achieved by action. The tragic event that happens changes the course of Francis’ life forever… and throws him into the mouth of the wolf.

16 MAY – 28 JUNE

Willy Russell’s timeless British classic brings together Rita, a working-class hairdresser who dreams of breaking free from her mundane life together with Frank a middle aged disillusioned academic. Her zest for life and thirst for knowledge reinvigorates him and a journey of rediscovery for both begins. A life affirming hugely funny play.

14 JULY – 23 AUGUST

FRIENDS the musical Parody is a show-stopping, fast-paced, original musical that brings Ross, Chandler, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, and Rachel back into your life in a whole new way—singing, dancing, and reminding us why we can’t get enough of their wacky misadventures in 1990’s Manhattan.

01 SEPTEMBER – 11 OCTOBER

Haywire is a heartwarming and riotously funny new play, commissioned by the Barn and licensed by the BBC, to be performed ahead of the 75th anniversary year of The Archers. Audiences are invited to travel back with us to those halcyon days when the public gathered around their wireless to listen and lose themselves in the lives, trials and tribulations of a fictional farming family.

17 OCTOBER – 15 NOVEMBER

Written by Jason Robert Brown, a Tony award winner, this beautifully crafted musical is brought to life with an acclaimed score and interweaved with the butterflies of new love and the sting of a separation, The Last Five Years is moving and thoughtful and will have you laughing one minute and full of emotion the next.

01 DECEMBER – 04 JANUARY 26

A Barn Theatre revival of a Dickens Classic, this enchanting and uplifting musical production set to a brilliant original score will leave you and the whole family feeling full to the brim with Christmas spirit and serves as a wonderful reminder of what this time of year is truly all about.
